In this exercise, my objective was to learn how to design, test and implement a "search engine friendly" website using current search engine optimization methods. I visited the following sites and reviewed the information required to submit my website to their search engines. Thus, I visited the following sites: Google Search, Yahoo Search, Yahoo Directory and MSN Search. Hence, we submitted my domain name via their online submission service in order to help the web robots find, index and rank my website. The submission process is really quite simple for each of these sites, but that only gets your site indexed or ranked in the search engines. However, If you are search engine savvy, then you already know that by submitting your website to the search engines is only the beginning of SEO. If you are determined to launch your website and maintain a high ranking on Google, then you will have to learn how to optimize your own website using the methods described on Google's Webmaster Help Center! Therefore, the overall remainder of this blog post will focus primarily on the unique tools and resources available to us on the internet, for the purpose of generating a higher ranking with Google.com and the other major search engines. Although, I 'm not an SEO expert, hopefully I will be able to present some useful information for you to consider when experiencing the challenges involved in optimizing your web pages.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is not a simple process to understand and requires hours of research and testing in order to achieve a high ranking with Google. Thus, If you want to obtain higher rankings with the search engines, I will recommend reading Google's Webmaster Guidelines in order to remain totally compliant with Google's standards and to prevent being penalized or entirely removed from Google's index. If you are interested in learning how to create a search engine friendly website yourself, then I'll also recommend reading the documentation info on Google's Webmaster Help Center, and all the specific guidelines regarding the optimization of your web site using Google's tools and services. It is absolutely crucial to visit Google's Webmaster Guidelines, and pay special attention to the 'Quality Guidelines' section which outlines some of the unacceptable practices which may lead to a site from being removed from Google's index. This important documentation explains what to do when your website is ready to be submitted to Google, including relevant information on the design and content of your web site, technical information, and quality or practical guidelines. I would read this information religiously and pay careful attention to all the details.
Finally, last but not least, before you decide to pay an expensive marketing research company or a professional consulting firm to perform SEO (Search Engine Optimization), SEM (Search Engine Marketing), CPC (Cost Per Click) advertising, PPC (Pay Per Click) advertising, or any other type of high-tech online marketing service - make sure you understand what SEO is and how to make your site "Google-friendly", or even search engine friendly, prior to paying an expensive marketing firm thousands of dollars ($$$) to do the research for you! One of the best ways to do this is by visiting the Google webmaster support website, Google Webmaster Tools, which provides a free and surefire way to enhance your website and/or make it more Google-friendly. Therefore, as I've mentioned above, Google Webmaster Tools can be used by anyone with a site and their 'Quick Start Guide' covers all the main core features found in Google Webmaster Tools that you will need to know in order to create a search engine friendly website. There are many numerous other proven SEO tactics that you can incorporate into the design of your website, but the methods I have just mentioned above, will at least get you started down the right path.

Read a little about you on facebook. Igrew up IN ft. Benning Ga. Use to watch the paratroopers jump off the towers from my bedroom window. I pulled a 18 month TOD in Fairbanks for the USAF and loved every minute of it.
